Welding Rod Commercial Colors
Watertight & Hygienic Heat Welding Rod
Heat welding provides a watertight, hygienic seam and a unique artistic touch. Marmoleum may be heat welded with either a matching solid color, a multi-color rod or a contrasting color welding rod. The welding rod for Marmoleum is a solidified adhesive that is melted and fused into a joint by a hot-air welding gun into a groove cut into the material. Heat welding is always preferred for installing Marmoleum.
Additional Information:
Heat welding should only be done after the flooring adhesive has set up, usually the day following the installation.
