For\nbest results apply two thin coats. Shaking will cause air bubbles.\nStir gently and thoroughly before application. This product appears milky when wet, but dries\nrapidly to a beautiful clear coating. Thinning is not recommended.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSurface Preperation Wood\u003c\/strong\u003e: Remove wax, oil, silicone, tsp\/soap, oxidation, loose\npeeling paint or varnish, or any foreign matter\/contaminants. Apply test patches before undertaking\nlarge areas to assure good adhesion and lack of surface contamination. Wood staining should be\ncompleted before applying finish coats. Sand wood with the grain only. When surfaces have been\nsanded, dust and vacuum thoroughly to remove debris and then use a damp rag to remove dust before\napplying finish coats. Wood surface may be dampened to raise grain, sanded, and then wiped free of\ndust before applying stain or finish. Moisture content of wood should be below 12% for best results.\nTo achieve a satin finish on wood, apply multiple thin coats of Safecoat Polyureseal EXT Gloss until\nthe surface is completely sealed, followed by one final coat of Satin.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSurface Preparation\/Cementitious\u003c\/strong\u003e: Clean the surface to be coated by removing any\noil, grease, or other contaminants that might interfere with the proper adhesion of AFM Safecoat\nPolyureseal EXT. Ensure that cementitious surfaces are structurally sound and fully cured a minimum\nof 28 days. Test the floor for vapor drive in accordance with ASTM D4263. Mechanical profiling is\nthe preferred floor-preparation method. Mechanically profile the floor to a medium-grit sandpaper\ntexture and remove curing and parting compounds and other surface hardeners and floor coatings. Acid\nmay be used to etch bare concrete floors to the proper profile when mechanical abrasion is\nimpractical. Make sure the surface is thoroughly clean before etching. Etch all unpainted cement\nwith 1 part 10% muriatic acid to 1 part water. Allow to stand 10-15 minutes then rinse clean with\nwater. After etching, neutralize acid with baking soda or soda ash then rinse thoroughly with water.\nA properly etched concrete surface should resemble the texture of fine or medium sandpaper. Let dry\nthoroughly before applying the coating. Test area: Apply a test area to ensure proper appearance and\nadhesion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eIMPORTANT:\u003c\/strong\u003e Do not apply late in the day or when dew, rain, fog, or mist is likely\n(moisture will damage the fresh paint film). Apply at temperatures above 50 degrees F. Do not apply\nif temperatures below 45 degrees are expected within 24 hours. Cold weather or excess humidity or a\nsudden temperature drop will greatly affect any finish at the time of application. Dampness can dull\nthe gloss. Do not paint in direct sun. Use a clean brush or roller.
